Amy Self

Willow Pines’ head trainer, Amy Self, has an incredible 19 years experience in training hunter, jumper and equitation, beginning in southern California as assistant trainer to Siri Larson, then starting her own training barn at Flintridge Riding Club and eventually moving to Las Vegas. Amy has had the unique opportunity of training with many top professionals in her field, which reflects in her outstanding riding and training skills. Amy’s students show monthly both locally and out of state at A and B circuit shows. Her students have won numerous championships at A shows in the equitation, jumper and hunter divisions, and most recently won PCHA and USEF 2006 year-end awards. Amy’s show team is made up of goal-oriented individuals dedicated to competing quality horses at top horse shows. The show team is friendly and fun yet serious about showing and rendering the best experience possible for both the horse and rider. Amy accepts students from beginner through advanced—those who are interested in showing competitively as well as those who want to improve their riding while learning better horsemanship and an enriched knowledge of the sport. She offers training for the development of young horses and cares for the special needs of older horses to enable all in our program to achieve their full potential. Lesson and lease horses are available. See Lessons for more information.

Amy is available at the barn Tuesdays through Saturdays except when showing. Please call ahead (702) 281-2426. Client references available upon request.
